Brave. It’s a word filled with layers of inspiration for me. This year, I want to be courageous, confident, and bold.
100 Days To Brave, Devotions for Unlocking Your Most Courageous Self, felt like a breath of courage as I opened its glossy pages and read scriptures and stories shared by Annie F. Downs.
This devotional would be great for millennials who are experiencing some of life’s biggest decisions as they pursue God’s will for their future.
I’m a Generation X gal, and find myself in a strange place. I’ve been a stay-at-home mom for 14 years, and now I wonder what God has next for me. My dreams feel as real and big as when I longed for marriage and couldn’t wait for the day I had children.
I’ve had the chance to pursue my dream of writing by starting this blog a few years ago. And I wonder where God will lead me next. It’s both exciting and a little scary at the same time.
No matter what God has in store for me, I want to be brave in pursuing His lead.
The odd thing about being brave is that we usually don’t feel very brave.
I never felt brave. But day after day, I just did the next thing, took the next step, said the next yes.
And that is precisely what I think brave looks like. Taking the next step.
Say yes too the situations that stretch you and scare you and ask you to be a better you than you think you can be.
This devotional will inspire you in a number of different areas.

*I received a free copy of this book from BookLook Bloggers in exchange for my honest review.
Isn’t that what it’s all about? Taking the new step, doing the next thing? That is what I have been telling myself daily for years as we have worked to accomplish things. It always seems impossible at first, but we can do it the more we rely on Him! 🙂
Amen, sister! Taking the next step is a brave thing to do, even when we don’t feel brave. I love that song with the words, He Makes Me Brave!
This devotional sounds great! Thank you for this review, I will be adding this one to my to read list.
I hope you enjoy it!
I want to be brave too!
We can be brave together Sarah!
I loved Annie’s book Let’s All be Brave.
Sounds like another good one!
This is the second time I’ve heard of this book just today… It sounds like it’s a good one. My reading list is already so long, I hate to add more to it, but I may consider adding this one. Thanks for sharing your review.
I know what you mean about having a long reading list, lol! I just signed up to review 4 books. There are so many great books to read.
“And that is precisely what I think brave looks like. Taking the next step.” I think you are absolutely correct here. I didn’t always feel brave as I raised my children or started my blog, but I just took the next step, and that was a very brave thing. Blessings to you, Valerie! I’m your neighbor at #HeartEncouragement.
I didn’t feel brave when I started my blog either. I’m so glad I took that next step. It’s a blessing to be on this journey with you. Thank you for sharing.
