Does your prayer life feel dry?
I know mine felt a bit stagnant and so I decided to read Warfare Prayers for Women: Securing God’s Victory in Your Life by Quin Sherrer and Ruthanne Garlock.
This book has a prayer for many different struggles and stages in life. The prayers are categorized into eleven different parts.
- Praying with Power
- Praying against Hindrances
- Praying for Life’s Milestones
- Praying for Children and Grandchildren
- Praying for Family and Friends
- Praying When Single
- Praying through Tough Times
- Praying in My Senior Years
- Praying for My Community and Nation
- Important Prayer Helps
- Scriptures for Intercession and Warfare
Instead of reading the sections in order, I found it was best to find prayers that fit my most pressing needs.
The prayers are well written and impactful. I loved how they helped me declare truth over my life and claim the promises of God.
At the end of each section the authors include a prayer of declaration.
I thought this was a great one to pray during the pandemic.
“I declare that my faithful God will see me through these tough times! When I feel weary, worn down with burdens, broken and hopeless, I will watch expectantly for the God of my salvation. He will hear me. And though I fall, I will rise. Even if I dwell in darkness, the Lord is a light for me (Micah 7:7-8) When I cry to my faithful Father, He quiets my storms. He relieves my distress. I place my hope, faith and trust in Him, for my Lord is good and His love endures forever. The blood of Jesus covers my family and me, and that blood deflects every fiery dart the enemy directs toward us.”
I received this book for free from Chosen Publishing Group in exchange for my honest review.
