Do the events of this world and the circumstances in your life stir up stress and anxiety within you?
I recently claimed Psalm 46:10 as my goal for the year, cease striving and know that I am God. So when I saw the title of this devotion by Cheri Cowell, 365 Devotions for Peace I was immediately drawn to it.
Not to mention, the cover looks peaceful with its gentle hues and the dove above the word peace. This devotion is well-bound with thick, glossy pages.
There are 15 categories including:
1. Peace for the New Year
2. Peace and Love
3. Peace with Justice
4. Peace with God
5. Peace in the Workplace
6. Peace at Home
7. Peace Within
8. Peace of Mind and Heart
9. Peace in Times of Trouble
10. Peace to Calm the Storm
11. Peace with Others
12. Peace Through Thanksgiving
13. Peacemakers
14.Peace for the Future
15. Peace for the World
Each day starts with a Bible Verse and closes with a short prayer aimed to help you find peace. Although I wished the devotions had more depth, I did enjoy the object lessons the author used to demonstrate spiritual principals. Many of the anecdotes and comparisons she used are ones that I would love to share with my children.
If you are looking for a quick devotion or just want to accompany this with a deeper study, then this devotion would be a great choice.

This looks like a very great devotional that could help give rest to a weary heart. I love that it is focused on Scripture that deals with anxiety and points to God as the source of peace
What a beautiful book. One of my favorite verses is John 14:27. Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. We would love for you to share this at the Literacy Musing Mondays Linkup. https://www.foreverjoyful.net/?p=937
