In Love Without Limits, Christian Motivational Speaker Nick Vujicic, tells of his journey to finding true love.
Nick is a well-known evangelist who was born without arms or legs. He speaks all over the world inspiring others to overcome obstacles and achieve their dreams.
However, though he found a sense of purpose in helping others and was able to lead a productive life, he feared he would never find a woman to love him.
He writes,
“I often despaired that no woman would want a man without limbs, a man who could not hold her hand, wrap his arms around her, or carry their children. All that doubt and fear vanished when Kanae came into my life.”
This book takes you through the various stages of their relationship and offers practical tips and insights from the lessons they’ve learned along the way.
Love Without Limits is much more than an inspiring love story. It is an excellent resource that gives Godly wisdom and guidance to those who are searching for love, currently in a relationship, engaged or newly married.
I’ve read a lot of marriage books over the last 20 years and I can tell you the insights given in this book are ones that took me many years to learn. That is why I think this is a must-read for new couples and married couples alike.
Some of the helpful sections included in the book are:
- Questions for Christian couples to ask when contemplating a serious relationship. Do you have any major concerns to discuss or things you want changed before marrying this person?
- Topics to Discuss Before The Marriage Proposal: Family Issues, Spiritual Beliefs, Financial Matters, Relationship Experiences, Marital Intimacy, Elephant-in–the-Room-Issues, Cultural Considerations
- 10 Tips for Keeping It Cool Before Marriage
- 5 Rookie Tips to Working on Marriage
- Ten Point Survival Guide For The First Year of Life With a Child.
- Daily Steps to Strengthen Your Bond
Nick and his wife share what it’s like to love without limits.
I love his description of how he proposed to Kanae and found a way to put the ring on her finger. It was both sweet and funny.
I was moved by his father’s speech at their wedding when he recalled the low period in his life when he looked at his son and wondered what kind of life he could have. Would he ever be able to walk or do anything?
He says,
“How wrong was I! Sometimes our lives are like that and we see the worst. Yet God can turn the worst into something that is beyond any dream.”
No matter what your circumstance, God can turn the worst into something better. Share on X
The main message the author wanted to convey is to never give up on love. He encourages reciprocal, unselfish love in marriage and creating a home that is a refuge of safety, love and comfort.
“You must know that you are worthy of love and accept that maybe the love of your life won’t exactly fit your perception of the perfect person for you. That doesn’t mean that you have to settle for someone, but it might mean that your true love will be someone not at all like you had imagined.” p.19
“To sustain a marriage, a friendship, or any relationship requires effort. You will likely feel that you are giving more than you are getting, and the other person will likely feel the same way. You have to be willing to forgive, to put others first, and to work on your own flaws and failings.” p.32
Whenever I feel like I’m limited by my own capabilities, I’m going to remember how Nick overcomes such significant limitations and aim to live and love without limits!

His dad’s comment from the speech at his wedding is so good! God can turn everything around for good. For the best!
Yes! I imagined myself being the parent and feeling so sad wondering what kind of life my child would have. What a proud father he must have been to see his son get married and overcome such obstacles!
