What does faith mean to you? I used to think strong faith was optimistic, only believing in the most favorable outcomes. But over the years, I have learned that strong faith is growing faith. Strong faith seeks to believe the truth about God even when the outcome isn’t pleasant.
Has your faith ever felt lifeless? When I lose my joy, it’s often because I stopped sharing my difficult emotions with the Lord. When my struggles cloud my perception of who God is, life starts to feel meaningless. After experiencing God’s tender care for me last summer, I realized the importance of biblical lament. That’s why I decided to create this free topical lament prayer journal. With this journal, I hope to help others express lament, lead them into prayer, and help them praise the Lord again. Sharing our overwhelming feelings with the Lord opens our hearts to see the goodness and power of God.
We don’t have to hide any part of our life from God. Sure, God already knows what we are going through. He knows our thoughts from afar (Psalm 139:2). But the beauty of being a Christian is walking in a relationship with our Heavenly Father. Prayer involves talking to God about our life. There’s nothing to hide. This journal is divided into common topics we all struggle with.

Each topic includes a page for you to answer questions about what the Lord is speaking to you about this area in your life, a journal page to write your prayer, and a prayer to praise page where you can list 3 things you are grateful for, God’s faithfulness in the past, prayer requests, and answers to prayer.
