I’m so excited to share with you a few of my favorite things! This post was so fun to write because I’m sharing items I love and the reasons why I love them!
Since Christmas is just around the corner, these items would make great gifts for you or someone else.
I love pretty planners!
Every year I search for the perfect planner. This year, I couldn’t resist another Erin Condren planner. Here are the priorities I have when searching for a calendar:
1. It has to have a horizontal calendar page layout where I can see the whole month. (You can choose a horizontal or vertical layout). I don’t like to have to fill in the days/numbers myself (who has time for that?)
2. It has to have a weekly/daily layout
3. It has to have enough room to write on. While I would prefer some lines in each box to make my writing more organized, I’m still happy with the amount of room it provides. I would actually love this planner if they made it in an 8.5X11 size. But I simply can’t find one that’s as sturdy and pretty at the same time.
4. It has to be sturdy
5. It HAS to be pretty (no exceptions)!
This is a beautiful personalized planner and in my opinion, it is well worth the money! The cover is laminated and the spiral binding is very sturdy. I love that it comes packaged with such care. There’s a pocket holder in the back and stickers to place in the calendar for haircuts, birthdays, doctor & dentist appointments and even mani/pedis. You can also order different covers and change them up.
Check out the beautiful planners here.

I’m in love with these shirts! I have five of them! I think the coral color on the first shirt that says amazing grace is so pretty. I just love to wear shirts that motivate me and are comfortable to wear at the same time. (just tap on the shirt to see it on Amazon) I paid twice as much for my first two shirts at the Christian bookstore before I discovered that Amazon sells them way cheaper. Woohoo!
When I saw the shirt (on the top right row) that says,”Let your faith be bigger than your fears” I had to have one for me and one for you. Yep, I bought one (M) to give away during the Trading Fear for Faith series that starts in January! So you’ll have to come back and enter to win.
I also love the verse on the pink shirt that says “hope is an anchor for the soul.” I read this verse in one of my favorite memoirs this year, Hope Heals.
I have several favorite reads this year and this was definitely one of them. Since we have friends who went through the same experience, I was captivated by the hope this couple found after Katherine suffered a massive brain aneurysm.
My husband bought me the NIV Life Application Large Print Study Bible for my birthday. This Bible is huge. I love it! I never thought I would need a large print Bible but it makes it so much easier for me to study. The Bible is too big to take to church but I love having it as my main study Bible. I finally found some highlighter pens that don’t bleed through the page.
NIV Bible for Teen Girls: Growing in Faith, Hope and Love
If you are looking for a Bible for your teen girl, this is a great choice! My 12-year-old daughter loves it! Special features include devotions for teens as well as character profiles of women in the Bible. You can read a more detailed review of this Bible here.
Any coffee lovers out there? I love my Pete’s coffee in the morning in one of my favorite coffee mugs. The first cup with the broken pieces reminded me of a great book I read called, The Broken Way. Right now my favorite mug says “Fueled by Jesus and coffee.” I really want to get the cups with the sparrow on them because sparrows have a special meaning for me (see Post).
Ann Voskamp is now one of my favorite authors! I just love her poetic style of writing. It just captivates me! This book is a life-changer! See my review here.
This is STILL my favorite iPhone case! Two years ago I was looking for a case that would protect the front of my phone. This wallet case was perfect for me. I can put my phone in my purse without worrying about it getting scratched. This is quality genuine leather. I keep my license in it and a few credit cards. The magnet that closes it is very sturdy too! When I first bought this wallet case there were only a few reviews. I’m not surprised to see the perfect 5-star rating now.
I’ve worn several brands of athletic shoes and Asics are my favorite! I love the mesh material that allows for your foot to breathe. I wear mine to the gym and also have gone running in them and my feet have never hurt. I recently ordered these and can’t wait for them to arrive. This will be my third pair of Asics. They are pretty affordable too! Normally I buy the Gel Noosa style here, so I’m hoping these are just as comfortable.
Perfume!
Aqua Di Gioia by Giorgio Armani
If you know me, you know that I am a perfume lover! I usually love to have a lot of different scents. But one scent that I keep on buying is Acqua Di Gioia by Giorgio Armani. It has a fresh clean smell with notes of jasmine samba, cedar, labdanum, aquatic green accord, peony, brown sugar accord, mint leaves, pink pepper.
Every year I get compliments on Vanilla Bean Noel from Bath and Body Works. It’s actually a Christmas scent but I wear it year round because it smells like cinnamon cookies! This is the one scent I purchase every year. I also LOVE Cherry Blossom! I wore Cherry Blossom after the birth of my first-born daughter 13 years ago! I still love it! Bath and Body Works discontinued it, but you can still get it online.
I would LOVE to hear about some of your favorite things!!! Tell me about them in the comments below.
I am with you! I only run in Asics.
Valerie this was so fun to read! I kept saying, “Me too!” I adore perfume, and also have several. My favorite is Laila…a Norwegian perfume and Zanzibar from France. The phone case is such a great idea and is on my list! And although I’m not huge on planners, I am the same way with journals. Favorite things add such joy to life! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Great list Valerie! I am with you on the list for a planner, It sounds like I could have written those requirements. I found a Kate Spade one I fell for last year and I cannot do without it. We are so much alike, Bible tools, coffee mugs, planners, oh yes! Sharing this list and making one of my own from some of these great items!
